hm. i like this character, simple, but not unoriginal. I'm assuming that there are golden-ish scales on his back,right? would love to see a pic from behind if that is the case. The pattern could really add a new demention to the character.
Also i like the color shading u used, the different colors used in the skin tone is what made me stop and look at it. Im assuming that u used a reference pic for the pose so keep on working on your proportions, they are a tad bit elongated in some parts like the torso and neck. remember from knee to hip is the same length as the torso. other than that good job.
